Moshe Gavrielov - President and Chief Executive Officer
Moshe Gavrielov serves as president and CEO of Xilinx. He is responsible for formulating the company's overall strategy, vision and focus necessary for Xilinx to continue its pace of rapid growth and expansion.
Gavrielov brings over 35 years of executive management and engineering experience with semiconductor and software companies to his position at the helm of Xilinx. Prior to joining Xilinx in January 2008, he served as executive vice president and general manager of the fast-growing verification division at Cadence Design Systems. Before that, Gavrielov spent seven years as CEO of Verisity, Ltd., where he grew the company from a $4M start-up, taking it through its initial public offering (IPO) in 2001, to a $70M per year publicly-traded company, ultimately acquired by electronic design automation leader Cadence in 2005.
Previously, Gavrielov spent nearly ten years at LSI Logic Corp., where he served in a variety of executive management positions, including executive vice president for the $1.3B products group, senior vice president of international markets, general manager for Europe, and general manager of the ASIC division. Gavrielov began his career in engineering and engineering management at National Semiconductor and Digital Equipment.
Gavrielov earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and a master's degree in computer science from the Israel Institute of Technology (Technion) in Haifa, Israel. He possesses five patents.
Victor Peng - Chief Operating Officer
Victor Peng is Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Xilinx. Victor manages Global Sales, Product & Vertical Marketing, Engineering, and Global Operations & Quality. Peng joined Xilinx in 2008 and has over 30 years of experience defining and bringing to market leadership FPGAs, All Programmable SOCs, GPUs, high performance microprocessors and chip sets, and microprocessor IP products.
In his previous role as Executive Vice President & General Manager of Products at Xilinx, Peng led the definition, development, and product marketing of the company’s portfolio of products and differentiated technologies – resulting in three consecutive generations of core product leadership and significant industry breakouts in integration and programming.
Before joining Xilinx, Peng served as corporate vice president of the graphics products group (GPG) silicon engineering with AMD, where he also served as a key leader for the company's central silicon engineering team supporting graphics, console game products, CPU chipset and consumer business units. Previously, Peng held executive and engineering leadership roles at TZero Technologies, MIPS Technologies, SGI and Digital Equipment Corp.
Peng earned a BSEE from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an M.Eng. in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University. He holds four U.S. patents.
Krishna Rangasayee - Executive Vice President, Global Sales
Krishna Rangasayee is executive vice president of global sales. He is responsible for the company’s global sales organization, channel partners, technical field, and customer support. Prior to this role, he was senior vice president and GM of Global Sales and Markets.
Rangasayee joined Xilinx in 1999. During his tenure at Xilinx, he has held multiple roles with responsibilities including, sales, general management, corporate strategy, vertical marketing and ecosystem partnerships, portfolio strategy, and architecture definition for next generation platforms. Prior to joining Xilinx, he held various engineering and marketing roles at Altera Corporation and Cypress Semiconductor.
Rangasayee holds a bachelor's degree in engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Warangal, India, an MSEE from Mississippi State University, and he completed the executive management program at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He has authored, published and presented in 70+ conferences, journals, and trade publications worldwide. Krishna holds more than 25 international patents.
Vincent L. Tong - Executive Vice President, Global Operations and Quality, Asia Pacific Executive Leader
Vincent Tong serves as Executive Vice President of Global Operations & Quality, chartered with engineering, manufacturing, and delivery of Xilinx products to the highest quality standards with the most effective cost structure. Among Tong’s global responsibilities are New Product Introduction (NPI) engineering, supply chain management, customer service, supplier relationships, purchasing, import/export compliance, and logistics. Tong also leads a worldwide quality organization chartered with driving continuous improvement of the company's corporate quality methodology for design, manufacture, training, measurement, and post-sale customer support for Xilinx products, and for reliability engineering of all product manufacturing technologies. In addition, as executive leader for Xilinx Asia Pacific, Tong’s charter is to expand the company’s presence and accelerate business development in a region that is experiencing phenomenal growth, and is in turn a critical source of Xilinx current and future growth.
Tong joined Xilinx in 1990 after serving in a variety of development, design, fabrication technology, product and test engineering positions at Monolithic Memories and Advanced Micro Devices. Tong holds a B.S. in engineering and computer science from the University of California, Berkeley, and completed the executive development program at Stanford Business School. He holds seven U.S. patents.
Ivo Bolsens - Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer
Ivo Bolsens is senior vice president and chief technology officer (CTO), with responsibility for advanced technology development, Xilinx research laboratories (XRL) and Xilinx university program (XUP).
Bolsens came to Xilinx in June 2001 from the Belgium-based research center IMEC, where he was vice president of information and communication systems. His research included the development of knowledge-based verification for VLSI circuits, design of digital signal processing applications, and wireless communication terminals. He also headed the research on design technology for high-level synthesis of DSP hardware, HW/SW co-design and system-on-chip design.
Bolsens holds a PhD in applied science and an MSEE from the Catholic University of Leuven in Belgium.
Kevin Cooney - Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer
Kevin Cooney serves as senior vice president and chief information officer for Xilinx, leading a global organization to define, manage and continuously improve all technical infrastructure and business application systems and processes for the company. Based in Dublin, Ireland, Cooney also serves as managing director of Xilinx in EMEA.
Cooney joined Xilinx in 1995, after more than ten years at Digital Equipment Corp., where he served in a variety of information technology (IT) management positions within the company’s hardware and software divisions, ultimately as Manager of Information and Communications Technology for Digital’s systems business division in Europe. Cooney was promoted to his current position at Xilinx after more than 12 years managing information technology worldwide for Xilinx and serving as the EMEA managing director for the past 8 years.
Lorenzo A. Flores - Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Lorenzo A. Flores is responsible for finance, tax, treasury and investor relations as well as mergers and acquisitions. In addition, Flores is also responsible for IT. From 2012 to 2016 Flores served as the Company’s Corporate Vice President of Finance and Corporate Controller.
Prior to joining Xilinx, Flores was Assistant Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis at Cognizant Technology Solutions, served as CFO of a venture funded startup, and spent 10 years at Intel Corporation serving in a variety of positions, including Controller, Intel Architecture CPUs and Controller, Telecommunications and Embedded Group.
Flores holds two Bachelor degrees from MIT in Civil Engineering and Management Science, and also holds an MBA from UCLA.
Steve Glaser - Senior Vice President, Corporate Strategy and Marketing
Steve Glaser is senior vice president of the corporate strategy and marketing group, which is chartered with defining, driving and projecting Xilinx’s industry leadership worldwide to maximize customer value and long term business expansion. Key areas of responsibility include strategic planning, corporate marketing, market research, brand management, corporate communications, and ecosystem alliance programs.
Glaser joined Xilinx in 2011 with more than 25 years of experience in corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions, R&D, and marketing in the systems, semiconductor, and electronic design automation industries. He has led major industry and corporate initiatives in SoC platform-based design, IP standards, system-level design, automated systems integration, and metric-driven verification, in addition to hands-on experience in communications chip design and development.
Most recently, Glaser was corporate vice president of strategic development with Cadence Design Systems. Before that, he served as senior vice president of marketing at Verisity, Ltd. and held various senior business and technical positions in the ASIC business at VLSI Technology and in satellite communications at Hughes Aircraft.
Glaser has a BS in electrical engineering and computer science from UC Santa Barbara and an MBA from the University of British Columbia.
Scott Hover-Smoot - Senior Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary
Scott Hover-Smoot serves as senior vice president, general counsel and secretary, with responsibility for legal policies, corporate governance, securities compliance, intellectual property, commercial licensing, mergers and acquisitions law, employment law and litigation.
Hover-Smoot joined the company in 2007, bringing more than 25 years of experience to the company, most recently as regional counsel and director with Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company, Ltd. (TSMC). Before that, he served as vice president and general counsel of California Micro Devices.
Hover-Smoot holds a B.S. in chemistry from U.C. San Diego, Revelle College and J.D. from Southwestern University School of Law.
Liam Madden - Senior Vice President, Hardware and Systems Product Development
Liam Madden is Senior Vice President of Hardware and System Product Development at Xilinx. He leads a global team of about 1,000 engineers and oversees the strategy, design solutions, priorities and execution specific to the growth of all Xilinx Hardware and System solutions, including silicon, packaging, evaluation systems and embedded software. Madden led the development of the highly successful 28nm, 20nm and 16nm All Programmable families. He was responsible for the introduction of stacking technology at 28nm, leading the industry in integrating multiple devices on a silicon interposer for which he received the 2013 Semi Award. He is responsible for integrating Gb/s data converters into Xilinx products as part of the RFSOC product line aimed at revolutionizing 5G radio solutions and related products.
Madden is a nine year veteran of Xilinx. In over a 35 year career he contributed to a range of industry leading products, including: high performance and low power microprocessors (Alpha and StrongArm at DEC), embedded processors and IP (MIPS) and consumer devices (Xbox 360 at Microsoft).
Prior to joining Xilinx, he was a Senior Fellow at AMD where he drove AMD’s next generation chip integration methodology.
Madden holds a BE degree from UCD, an M.Eng. degree from Cornell University. He is an Adjunct Professor at UCD, a Fellow of the Institute of Engineers Ireland and a Board Member of Science Foundation Ireland.
Marilyn Stiborek Meyer - Senior Vice President, Worldwide Human Resources
Marilyn Stiborek Meyer is senior vice president of human resources, with responsibility for leading and managing Xilinx's global HR organization, including organizational development, employee relations, employee training and development, compensation and benefits, recruitment and retention strategies.
Meyer has over 20 years of experience linking strategy, people, and business results. Prior to joining Xilinx, she served as a vice president of human resources at Cadence Design Systems, where she had responsibility for supporting the company’s global engineering organizations. Previously, Meyer was director of HR at Commtouch with responsibility for talent acquisition, workforce planning and organization development for North America and the UK office. Before that, she served in a variety of human resources management positions in the banking, retail and technology industries.
Meyer received a BA in management information systems from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and an MA in human resource management from Golden Gate University, San Francisco.
Salil Raje - Senior Vice President, Software and IP Products Development
Salil Raje is Senior Vice President of Software and IP Products Development. He leads a global team of about 1,000 engineers and oversees the strategy, design solutions, priorities and execution specific to the growth of Xilinx Software and IP. Raje led the introduction of the Vivado Design Suite in 2012 – a grass roots effort to modernize the design flow that resulted in Xilinx achieving design tools and IP leadership and improved customer productivity. He is also responsible for leading initiatives around Vivado HLx and SDx development environments that allow customers to adopt higher level abstraction flows and are instrumental in the company’s expansion efforts in the data center market, machine learning and vision-based applications.
Raje is a 13 year veteran of Xilinx. Prior to joining Xilinx, he was CTO, then CEO, of Hier Design Inc. which he co-founded in 2001. At Hier Design, he was responsible for introducing a hierarchical design and design planning tool, PlanAhead, to the FPGA design community. While CEO, he oversaw the acquisition of Hier Design by Xilinx Inc. in 2004.
Prior to Hier Design, Raje was a Director at Monterey Design Systems responsible for placement and silicon virtual prototyping technology. He started his career at IBM T. J. Watson Research Center in Yorktown Heights, New York working in High Level Synthesis.
Raje holds a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical Engineering from IIT, Madras and a Master of Science and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Northwestern University. He holds eight patents in the areas of electronic design tools, ASIC and FPGA designs and has authored over 15 industry recognized research papers.
